Meet the Presidents: Alpha Delta Pi

Our campus is home to an incredible network of sororities, each led by a president with dedication and leadership. Stay tuned for the weekly series introducing the presidents of each chapter.

This week features Avery Brown from Alpha Delta Pi. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan College in Georgia, ADPi upholds the values of sisterhood, service, character, and knowledge. Their colors are white and azure blue, and their philanthropic focus is The Ronald McDonald House Charities. Their motto is "We Live For Each Other."

Meet Avery Brown,

My time in Alpha Delta Pi has been a time of growth for me, as I have truly thrived being a part of our chapter. ADPi has given me such a strong sense of home, and I am lucky to have met such wonderful and diverse personalities within it. I feel that I can grow as an individual and within this community because I can genuinely be myself. The authenticity within our chapter has made me feel connected to ADPi during recruitment and beyond!

I went through recruitment with no knowledge of the process and an open mind. I have always thrived in a close circle of girls and recruitment felt like a great opportunity to find that space! I felt so connected with ADPi during recruitment and I could really see myself in the chapter.

The reason I wanted to become the president of ADPi is because I had such a positive and welcoming experience. I want that experience for all of our current and incoming members. I knew that being the president would allow me to be a part of all the pieces that make up our chapter.

If you are thinking about going through the recruitment, it is worth it! It is such a unique experience and you never know what you will learn about yourself in the process.

~ Avery
