Gamma Phi Beta

Founded on a rock.

Gamma Phi Beta was founded Nov. 11, 1847 at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. The Eta Omicron Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta was founded at Ohio University in 2015.

Gamma Phi Beta proudly supports Girls on the Run as its national philanthrophy. The Eta Omicron chapter hosts fundraisers such as Moonball, a kickball tournament, to raise awareness and funds for Girls on the Run.

Gamma Phi Beta's colors are brown and mode. Its mascot is Gammy Bug.

A fun fact about Gamma Phi Beta is that it was the chapter that coined the term sorority.
